Here is a drop-front secretary desk in the Art Deco style, a Belgian creation from around 1935. This piece, with its rigorous geometric design, is veneered on the exterior with polished rosewood. Its dark color contrasts elegantly with the honey-colored elm burl lining the interior, which features six drawers with polished solid copper handles.
