Modernist Art Deco Coffee Table Circa 1920

I am pleased to offer for sale this elegant Art Deco style coffee table. It is a Belgian piece dating from around 1920. With its clean, geometric design, this model is undeniably associated with the Modernist movement. The table is composed of two wooden discs joined by a parallelepiped-shaped support, adorned on one of its two lateral faces with a solid wood half-cylinder. This apparent simplicity of design results in a piece of furniture that is highly sophisticated in its proportions and gives it a very airy aesthetic. The table is finished with a beautiful flamed walnut veneer, particularly rich on the top. The wood color shown in the photograph is the true color of the wood in natural light. This table has been fully restored and polished using traditional methods.
