Primitive Baroque Armchair, Dated 1701
An impressive early Baroque armchair with straight, upholstered armrests, turned baluster legs, and stretchers. The rectangular back is surmounted by a carved crossbar adorned with a cartouche featuring an anchor motif. The inscription "IMO 1701 AMO" is engraved within the cartouche. The armchair is upholstered in green velvet. Original condition.
