Louis XVI Style Wardrobe, Leipzig, Early 19th Century
Large cherrywood entryway cabinet with two doors and two drawers in the upper section. The structure is supported by three pilasters topped with delicately carved foliate capitals and finished with a flat, slightly projecting, finely molded cornice. The doors are adorned with traditional recessed panels. Notable details include the refined S-shaped locks and the original rotating bar lock. The interior is fitted with three shelves.
