A Japanese-style flat desk in molded, carved, and stained maple, with chiseled and gilt bronze mounts in the Japanese style. The top is covered in green morocco leather and features two sliding side shelves and two drawers in the frieze. It rests on cabriole legs surmounted by lion's heads and flanked by stylized, openwork scrolls. One leg is stamped G. Viardot. Height 75 cm, Width 115 cm, Depth 68 cm
