A dramatic neo-Baroque earthenware ewer with sculptural reliefs, gilt vine garlands and a finely painted bird scene on a crackled cream glaze. The boar-head lid, ram-head handle and satyr-mask spout create a bold, sculptural silhouette. Unmarked but characteristic of Choisy-le-Roi or Sarreguemines manufacture.
