"Namur 1770-1790, 24 Solid Silver Knives, Louis XVI Period, Cutler Laderier, Verain"
A rare complete set of 12 Louis XVI period table knives and 12 dessert knives with solid silver handles and their original steel blades. The handles are guaranteed to be solid silver but bear no hallmarks. The blades date from the late eighteenth century and are signed Laderier in Namur, and SL Verain on some. The cutler Laderier is fairly well documented and worked in Namur during the second half of the eighteenth century.
