Epinal Plate With A Bird - Late 18th, Early 19th Century
Epinal plate - Late 18th - Early 19th century. A high-fired plate with decoration characteristic of Epinal plates. It features an 8-lobed rim and typical colors. Decorated with a bird on a fence resting on a grassy mound. The rim is decorated with three bouquets. See the reference book; this plate is reproduced there. Good condition. Note: one hairline crack and three small chips in the glaze on the rim (manufacturing flaw). Diameter 23.2 cm.
