Pastel portrait of a ravishing young noblewoman, 18th century, Louis XVI period. She is styled and dressed according to the fashion of the time during the reign of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. This pastel is executed with great finesse, typical of the works of pastel artists of the late 18th century. The painter has skillfully highlighted the freshness of her complexion and the gentleness of her gaze. As you can see in the photos, this pastel is in its original condition; it shows some creases and visible signs of age on the surface, but retains all its charm and authenticity. It is protected by its original glass and presented in an oval giltwood frame adorned with a beaded decoration. On the back, in pencil, there is an annotation: MEYER.
