"Portrait Of A Man In The 18th Century Louis XV, Noble Nobility, Hunter, Hunting, Marquis, Count"
Portrait of a gentleman hunter around 1750, Louis XV period. The work represents a man dressed in an elegant suit decorated with gold braid, typical of the 18th century and a shirt with a finely worked jabot. His noble posture and the refined gesture of his hand testify to his rank and the mastery of the painter. This painting with its deep colors and harmonious framing is in the tradition of French portraits of the Nobility of the Age of Enlightenment. We can observe to the left of the foliage, placing this portrait in nature and to the right of the character running dogs, indicating that it is probably the portrait of a hunter. The painted wooden frame is more recent. This portrait is on its original canvas and frame. Please note a small piece on the back and a very small lack of flakes on the right side, in the background, nothing serious. My photos are taken in natural light in the sun, the last one is taken in the shade. Format with the frame: 77 cm x 65 cm. Format "on view": 66 cm x 53 cm.
