Antique Parisian Wooden Box, Gutta-percha, Dedication, 19th Century
A charming period Napoleon III box with canted corners, made of wood and appliqué, with an iron handle decorated with a lion's head, a bouquet of flowers, and scrolls; a dedication underneath reads "Amadeus to Madame Amadeus 1878." A small appliqué is missing from one corner. Otherwise in good condition; the interior may be later, with added paper (see photos). Dimensions: 21 cm x 11 cm x 12.5 cm
