Large fan from the late 19th century. The leaf is made of leather lined with silk on the reverse. It is painted in gouache with a couple dancing in a park and signed with the monogram "AT". The attractive bone frame has been pierced and painted with flowers, scrolls, and foliage. The fan measures 13,78 inches closed and 25,98 inches in diameter. It is in very good condition, although there are small areas of the silk lining that are detached on the reverse. The leather leaf is in perfect condition. It dates from the very end of the 19th century.
