Antique Japanese Erotic Fan, Circa 1900
Rare Japanese fan with an erotic subject. The paper leaf is painted with two embracing couples. The small spots visible on the leaf were originally gilded; the gilding has worn off the front but remains on the back. The frame is made of wood, and the plumes are engraved with Japanese inscriptions. The fan measures 12,99 inches long when open and 23,23 inches in diameter when open.
