Rare advertising plate for MATHIS cars, made of Sarreguemines earthenware.
Decor named 'La Mathis in full speed', representing a car driving at high speed on a road in an Alsatian village, lifting a cloud of dust behind it.
The brand crest – a gear wheel with the words 'AUTOMOBILES MATHIS STRASBOURG' - appears at the bottom of the decoration, as well as the signature of the Alsatian designer Dorette Muller, creator of the decor.
The Mathis factory was located in the Meinau district in Strasbourg.
Stamp printed in black 'SARREGUEMINES' with DV overload.
Diameter – 21.50 cm.
Perfect condition: Neither chipped nor cracked, nor restored.
