Large Italian vase from the 19th Century decorated with putti, winged sirens and faun heads.
Large earthenware vase in the style of Urbino etc... from the 19th century decorated with putti playing in a landscape.
The handles are in the shape of sirens with outstretched wings and snake legs if one can express it that way!
Completely in the spirit of the Italian majolica of the high period. Mascarons are applied around the edge.
The front decoration represents playing putti and the back is decorated with an exotic landscape. The whole rests on a pedestal.
The colors are superb and very bright. Very good condition apart from a few chips, including one on the neck, the bottom is pierced with a small hole.
