Oil on canvas depicting a still life. 19th century composition signed "Mugnier" showing a return from hunting with game and attributes of hunting at court: fox, duck, wood pigeon, hunting body, satchel, cartridges etc. The proposed work is of a beautiful format and shows all the academic technique of this French artist based in Paris, active at the end of the 19th century. Further research should be carried out around this artist because the work shows a very beautiful pictorial know-how. Beautiful homage to Dutch painting, and to classical painting of the 17th and 18th centuries as a whole which also presents still lifes around the theme of hunting. The work is in good condition, but some restorations are visible: tension bands, "patches", cracks. Dimensions: 115 cm high x 87 cm wide.
