"18th Century Religious Clock – Dujardin Movement In Versailles"
                    
                    Charming religious clock from the 18th century, the blackened wooden case of which is decorated with gilded bronzes (caryatids, scrolls and garlands). Its brass dial is elegantly engraved with Roman numerals and foliage. Movement signed and attributed to François Dujardin of Versailles, a historic clockmaker whose name appears from the beginning of the 17th century in the Palace workshop and whose descendants continued the watchmaking tradition in Versailles in the 18th century. Good condition, a bronze caryatid is reattached with a point, it moves slightly. Dimensions: Height: 45.5 cm Width: 29 cm Depth: 13.5 cm
