Superb and rare Art Deco period tray in copperware decorated with geometric patterns and stylized foliage in silver metal, in the style of the ceramic or cement tile decorations that paved the floors at the time.
This tray created by Luc LANEL (1893-1965) in the 1930s, bears the Christofle hallmark on the back as well as a reference B218. Micro-scratches from use.

Designer and creative craftsman, Luc Lanel worked for the most prestigious luxury goldsmith brands, including Christofle, of which he was the artistic director from 1922 to 1942. He also collaborated with the architect Jean-Charles Moreux and the designer Jules-Emile Leleu.
