Soufflot: Six Solid Silver Rocaille Dessert/fruit Knives. Louis XV/art Nouveau Style

A set of six knives in a very Rococo style, inspired by Louis XV and Art Nouveau.

The silver-plated handles are highly crafted and asymmetrical, with an interweaving of curves, counter-curves, Rococo shells, scrolls, acanthus leaves, florets, etc.
The ensemble is highly decorative and very unusual in the usual silversmithing production.

The blades are made of solid silver.

Each piece is hallmarked:
. Minerva 1st standard from before 1973 for the 950/°° solid silver (blades and handles).
. Silversmith's mark: HS with a rising sun and a star for Henri Soufflot, active from 1884 to 1910. (blades)

Magnificent knives with this extraordinary Rococo decoration, very exuberant, contrasting with the plain silver blades.
