Alfred-Charles Foullongne (or Foulongne) was a landscape and genre painter in watercolor and oil.Foullongne was a pupil of Paul Delaroche and Charles Gleyre. He entered the Ecole de Beaux-Arts on April 16, 1855. He exhibited at the Salon between 1848 and 1882, and was awarded a medal in 1869. His works include Bacchante Dormée (Alençon), Daphnis et Chloé (Le Havre), View of the Aqueducts of Marly (Limoges) and Un Soir de Moisson (Rouen). In the late 1860s and early 1870s Foullongne appears to have been friendly with James McNeill Whistler.
