Biscuit group, charming gallant scene in Louis XV style representing a young woman sitting on a bench lecturing a love. The scene takes place in a rocky landscape. Manufacture Nationnale de Sèvres, the sculpture is dated (1911) and signed. Ideal to complete an 18th century decoration; these decorative objects are typical of this period, to be placed on a chest of drawers or fireplace in addition to a clock or on a festive table for a refined dinner. It is a piece decorated from all angles, intended to be seen from all sides in the center of a table for example or with its back to a mirror. A very large number of biscuit groups were produced throughout the 19th century, copying Sèvres. Our group is an authentic piece from the very prestigious Manufacture de Sèvres.
