Oil on masonite, early 20th century, depicting a woman bathing on a terrace. Beautiful subject, we assume, given the decor and the artist's career, that we are in the south of France. Painting signed lower right "Roberty" André Félix Roberty, born December 2, 1877 in Paris and died in 1963, is a French painter. He first studied in the studio of Fernand Cormon around 1895, then continued his training at the École des Beaux-Arts with Fernand Humbert from 1897. He then participated in the Salon des Artistes Français, where he regularly exhibited his works. Roberty devoted himself mainly to painting landscapes, rural scenes and seascapes, inspired by daily life and the French countryside. Good general condition, with some wear.
