Pair of large covered baluster vases (potiches) in Limoges porcelain. 20th century These pieces are distinguished by their deep cobalt blue background, magnificently enhanced with a double gold inlay on the lid, the shoulder and the various moldings. One side is decorated with rich bouquets of roses standing out against a green background. These scenes are painted in a reserve delimited by a gold border and a refined volute lattice decoration. Rich interlacing decoration on matte and shiny gilding. The other side, just as charming, is decorated with floral garlands and small flowers. The rose decorations bear the signature of the decorative painter D. Roger. The handles are finely enhanced with fine gold. These splendid vases rest on shower feet, themselves decorated with multiple circular threads in fine gold. Marks and mentions (on the reverse, see photo): Under the base, the pieces bear: • The green stamp of the "Limoges France" factory. • Letters from the Lemaire factory (for the shaped piece). • The mentions attesting to the quality: "All handmade", "Genuine inlay", "Double Gilding Polished with agate".
