"The Good Shepherd - Paperolle Reliquary - 18th Century "
A charming work of fervor, this 18th century nun's work is presented in a gilded wooden frame. A central, polychrome medallion depicts the Good Shepherd. Probably made of plaster, it is hand-painted and is surrounded by two relics, one of an ex-ossibus relic of a Holy Martyr, and a second phylactery announces a fragment of the Agnus Dei in wax.
Both physically materialize the Sacred.
Used condition - some classic peelings of rolled papers.
