Frame With Four Relics And Representation Of Saint John Of Nepomuk - 18th Century
In an elegant carved and partially gilded wooden frame, we find a gouache of Saint John of Nepomuk, patron saint of confessors, canonized in 1729. He is surrounded by four so-called exiguous relics of Saints Benedict, Deodati, Fortunati, and Cucundin?, all in a rich montage of canetilles.
Four wax seals are present on the back. A work from southern Germany.
