" Early 19th Century Empire Slab Chest Of Drawers"
Elegant chest of drawers veneered in exotic burl wood, with a book-matched top. The chest of drawers features gilded pineapple-shaped feet, and columns with caryatids at the corners, whose feet and sphinx-like faces are ebonized, while the echinus and hairpieces are gilded wood. The chest of drawers has three drawers, the smaller one under the top, which open with gilded bronze pulls and are ergonomically designed for storing objects. This chest of drawers exudes class and refinement, capable of elegantly furnishing any space. Made in Lucca (Tuscany, Italy), Empire period, early 19th century.
