Kwoma pottery used in a fertility cult related to the yam harvest and used as a ceremonial flute. The shape of this pottery is reminiscent of the yam itself, a sacred tuber. This engraved terracotta flute produces a very good sound and is sold with a presentation stand. Collected in the Washkuk hills area in Papua New Guinea.
