Superb wooden dance mask with lacquered and crusty patina, real "Black Pearl of Africa" measuring 22cm plus classic mask headdress with round and openwork eye sockets generally characterizing Gunyégé racing masks and Zapkei fire masks. Note on this copy the remarkable development of the hairstyle of fibers similar to those of ancient warriors. This particular point could indicate an association with a more important character. It could be a mask associated with the royal person, the Go Ge.
