19th Century Church Lectern Or Altar Lectern In Chiseled Gilt Bronze And Champlevé Enamels

Very beautiful gilt bronze church lectern or pulpit decorated with a gallery with scroll motifs, a fleur-de-lis cross on the facade and spandrels with the same fleur-de-lis motifs standing out against heart-shaped ivory-colored reserves. It rests on a very beautiful Baroque-style base decorated with foliage and scrolls.
The flat part used to hold the mass book is centered with a finely chiseled cross, and the lines of all the motifs in the gallery are also repeated and/or highlighted with chisels in ruby and ivory-colored enamel.
The object is in very good condition, the gilding is in good condition with no real apparent loss, it is just worth noting some traces of verdigris from oxidation which seem to be the result of some wax stains.
However, the item can naturally be cleaned very easily by a professional to remedy these small imperfections due to its age and use.
