Large 18th Century Venetian Display Case In Gilded Wood
Rare and large Venetian display case from the 18th century in gilded wood. Trapezoidal in shape, it rests on 4 volute feet, the crosspieces molded and sculpted. It opens on the front with a glazed door, fretwork and molded, the uprights sculpted with foliage. The whole is topped with a cornice in the form of a gendarmerie hat on 3 sides. The base of the display case is decorated with its original panel painted with scrolls and floral motifs, inside is a glass shelf. All the cabinetwork is finely carved and gilded in origin, can be placed or fixed on a wall, work of great finesse in very good condition and conservation.
