"18th Century Lime Wood Sculpture Of A Saint "
Elegant 18th century religious sculpture in linden. Presented on a carved base with volutes, it represents a woman, probably a saint, holding her tunic in her left hand. Superb carving work, particularly on the tunic, which is fat, while the face is very fine. Damage to the missing right arm due to age, quality work, and decorative with a lot of charm.
