Superb oil painting of the port of Cannes made by HENRI MALFROY SAVIGNY in (1895-1944) famous marine painter who made many views of the Mediterranean.Henri MALFROY was also called MALFROY-SAVIGNY is a post-impressionist painter of landscapes and seascapes. Born in Martigues in 1895 and died in 1944 he learned his fine arts, regularly exhibited at the salon of French artists and freelancers until 1934. He mainly represented in painting the ports of Bouches-du-Rhone and Var, his paintings are present in several museums in the south of France. This painting representing the port of Cannes shows in the foreground a magnificent boat against the background of the old town, the Suquet. This table in excellent condition is very bright and the colors are kept bright. It is signed lower right and presented in a wooden frame and gilded stucco bearing the cartouche "(henri MALFROY) SAVIGNY"
