Louis XIV Period Cabinet In Fruit Tree

Superb and elegant cabinet in Louis XIV and early 18th century style in walnut. It rests on small ball feet surmounted by a period base turned into rosaries connected to its base by a crotch. The upper part of the base is composed of a large drawer under which is a scalloped crosspiece and finely carved with windings. The upper part is composed of 8 symmetrical drawers and a central niche revealing an architecture of mirrors and a few secret drawers. The whole piece of furniture is adorned with ivory nets inlaid with a geometric shape and the moldings are underlined in black to give relief, original wrought iron lock entries. High quality French work in excellent original condition. This cabinet is elegant by its proportions and the sobriety of its decoration, being able to integrate a contemporary space as well as an old one.
