Elegant and large oil painting on canvas representing cows going to drink at the edge of a pond and signed Henri-François PERRET, born in 1825....? French painter mainly producing landscapes and many of his works were sold in the United States. As for this large painting, we can see a group of cows on the edge of a pond and in front of them is a fisherman. In the background is a house against a backdrop of greenery. Superb rendering and effect of the sky, the colors are bright, note an old repair in the trees and on the side. Quality and large format painting signed lower right and presented in its original wooden frame and gilded stucco.
