Suerbe drawing of Prouvé vivctor representing a lion study devouring an antillope. Victor Prouvé 1858-1943) was a painter sculptor and engraver French School Nancy. He designed sets of glassware and furniture for Émile Gallé. In 1888, he discovered Tunisia which influenced him for his future paintings. This drawing shows the various postures of the lion devouring the antollope, with close-ups. The stroke of pencil is clear and precise, the set of quality presented in an original stained wood frame.
