Superb and elegant pair of oil paintings on canvas by Joseph FELLY (born in Paris 19th century) Interior landscape painter and sculptor. From 1834 to 1863 he had himself represented at the salon, notably through views. We quote from him "interior of a cloister in ruins; interior of courtyard in Furigrotta, surroundings of Naples.... This pair of original paintings, in an oval shape, represents for one, an animated scene with the tower of the castle of 'Anne of Brittany and for the other a rural landscape with cows drinking near a body of water. These 2 paintings are of high quality, with superb bright colors, they are presented in their wooden restoration frames Eoque gilded. Signed and dated 1848 on both, at the bottom, original work, rare in pair.
