"Screen, Empty Pockets, Late 18th Century "
Lightweight, multi-purpose flying furniture developed at the end of the Ancien Régime. Fantasy has no limits. This piece of furniture serves both as a storage compartment and as a screen to protect a candle from the draft, so common in old homes. Made of light wood, it is beautifully carved. Small holes in the lower part suggest that there was probably a retractable shelf that has disappeared. It remains in its original state, very unusual and practical next to an armchair for placing a glass or small objects.
