Short saber of the Hmong people, North Vietnam, South China, late 19th early 20th centurySaber typical of the Hmong people historically established in North Vietnam and South China in the provinces of Tonkin (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China). Slightly curved blade with a single edge, embossed on both sides with traditional patterns. Handle in beautifully carved bone and encircled at its base with a brass and copper ferrule.
