Large and very fine white marble sculpture representing the Venus de Milo with a very pretty face.
The original, a work from the Hellenistic period around 150 BC, found on the Greek island of Milos in April 1820 without arms, is exhibited at the Louvre.
Greek goddess Aphrodite Latin equivalent: Venus.
Good condition
Base with cut sides, one corner formerly glued.
Mark underneath to decipher.
