Louis XVI style mercury gilt bronze clock signed Alfred BEURDELEY in Paris. This elegant clock rests on six spinning top feet, richly decorated with fruits and plants. The extreme finesse of the chiseling symbolizes the renown of Alfred Beurdeley's workshops. The enameled dial is enhanced with floral garlands joined by fleurs-de-lis, the same goes for the openwork hands which also end in fleurs-de-lis. This clock is topped by a basket filled with fruit pomegranates, grapes... two winding falls transform into bunches of fruit
