Regency Style Gilt Bronze Barometer - Thermometer
Barometer/thermometer dating from the mid-19th century in mercury bronze. The barometer located in the lower part rests on a "dolphin" base on either side of the circular dial, male and female figures escaping from cornucopias. The mercury thermometer is inserted in an openwork decoration decorated with butterflies, topped by a radiant sun. This barometer is intended to be placed thanks to a jamb positioned on the back or hung on the wall thanks to a ring provided for this purpose. The mercury thermometer as well as the mechanical barometer are functional, the bronze enhanced with fine gold is in very good condition with no oxidation.
