"Longwy Enamel Lamps With "japanese" Style Decoration"
Pair of cloisonné enamel lamps from the Longwy pottery. Mounted on openwork gilt bronze, the cylindrical body features a rotating "Japanese-style" decoration composed of three scenes on a crackled white background: - an aquatic landscape with lotuses and butterflies - cherry blossom branches and buds with butterflies - iris and wisteria blossoms. 19th century work, Napoleon III period. These lamps are electrified and meet current standards. They are topped with slightly conical oblong shades (not contractual). Height of the lamps alone: 45cm / with shades: 70.5cm Width: 27cm Depth: 27cm Base diameter: 16cm
