Large Painted Sign, Horse-drawn Carriages In Ardèche Stations, 1900s
Artist: Art Populaire
Sorry, No export for the moment...
Beautiful large object, spectacular, 10kg, 75cm x 115cm!
A commercial sign of the horse-drawn transport company Auguste Nury, a taxi service at station on Privas, Pouzin and Valence line, right bank of Rhône.
This line, completed circa 1880, was removed in 1973 for travelers, there is a lot of talk about it in Ardèche for a reopening.
This sign, as we can see, was painted on a previous one, on occasion for change of management name
... amusing to see through the 2 insolated paintings.
The Nury café still exists, but is established in St Paulet de Caisson
