Object description :

"Antique New Hall Porcelain Teapot, Rare Ovoid Form, C.1790"

A rare antique English porcelain teapot attributed to New Hall, c.1785–1795. The teapot features a unique ovoid form, Chinese-style straight spout, scroll handle, and domed finial. Hard-paste porcelain with enamel floral decoration and gilt accents.

Dimensions: 19.5 cm high, 25 cm wide, 12.7 cm body diameter; weight 772 g.
Condition: excellent for age. Tiny enamel chip on spout tip, minor firing crack at handle top, slight gilding wear, internal kiln line. Decoration and enamel remain vivid and intact.

New Hall (1782–1835) was the first English porcelain factory to perfect hard-paste. This rare form is not recorded in museum or catalogue references, making it an exceptional and possibly unique survival.

An extraordinary collector’s piece and a long-term investment.

Please study the accompanying photographs carefully as they form an integral part of this description. If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them. The item will be shipped with full tracking and insurance.
