Ottoman Flintlock Pistol, Circa 1800
The barrel is decorated on its first third with engravings and brass inlays; the remaining part, up to the muzzle, is covered with a wide repoussé silver collar. The wooden stock is complemented by decorated brass fittings. The grip is wrapped with a leather band for better handling. The firearm features a simulated ramrod, characteristic of this type of piece. The mechanism works properly in the safety position; in the firing position, it does not hold.
