Oil on panel depicting a maritime scene, French school circa 1760, 18th century. We present this beautiful seaside painting animated by characters against an architectural background. The composition as well as the perspective of the painting is similar to the painter Claude Joseph Vernet (1714-1789), born in Avignon and died in Paris, draftsman and engraver, famous for his seascapes.
