Large patinated terracotta bust depicting a "Lady of XVIIIth century quality" on a circular white marble pedestal. This sculpture bears the signature of the French artist Paul DARBEFEUILLE (1852 - 1933) on the reverse. Large in size and very decorative, this bust displays a very beautiful quality of recovery in the chiseling of the details. The face of the young Lady is smiling and magnificently treated, the very elaborate hairstyle is decorated with flowers and the clothing presents a skillfully neglected arrangement. The sculpture is truly beautiful from all angles. In beautiful house condition with a superb patina. A piece of great decoration. French work from the end of the 18th century.
