Pewter JUG with pomiform body, short stepped foot, truncated tubular spillway connected to the cylindrical neck by a curved eyelet tab. The lower half of the flat handle is attached to the body by two rivets.
Property hallmark incompletely affixed to the outer bottom depicting a complex crowned coat of arms.
Height: 17,5 cm.
LYONNAIS, SWITZERLAND, PIEDMONT (?), 18th century

This type of object is found in copper, ceramic, glassware but very rarely in pewter, and what is more, a very rare witness here of a riveting practice applied to this material.
