In the foreground we see a stream over which a large willow with gray-green foliage leans. Further away, here is a grove composed of different species. Hills occupy the background; a house with a tiled roof stands on one of the peaks.
The brushstroke is lively and rather broad, judiciously placed touches of orange and red counterpoint this green symphony.
The work is signed lower left. Produced on a plywood panel, it is in excellent condition. It is placed in a black lacquered wooden frame.
This painting was painted by Louis Marcy, a French painter active in the 1960s, exhibiting at the Salon des Indépendants and living in Paris.
