Very pretty landscape representing a peaceful scene of daily life in our countryside at the end of the 19th century. Our oil on canvas is a beautiful French School in the pure Barbizon style. It is sold in a very beautiful frame heavily molded in gilded stucco. It is signed lower left, the signature is to be deciphered. We note some gilding, as well as some missing parts on the stucco at the level of the outer edge of the lower rod of our frame (see photo), not visible when the painting is hung.
